Akashi Seijuro [ Engagement ]

The fancy glass chandelier hung glamorously upon the high ceiling of the grand hall, shimmering softly to its lights. A piano was being skillfully played by a well-dressed man, an elegant melody releasing with the help of his fingertips. Men and woman dressed in extravagant formal wear converse amongst themselves with a glass of expensive wine resting between their fingers. False smiles were glued to their faces as they mingled with their partners, doing the best they can to impress them for their own financial gain.

Akashi was amongst the ones who mingled. They put up the perfect front against him, mentally begging for him to like them. Even cracking jokes once in a while only to receive a chilling smile from him. Honestly, they wouldn't be around him if it wasn't for his business. They thought of him as an arrogant redheaded tyrant who always looked down on others. But of course, they weren't going to let him know that.

Across the grand hall, a little bit a ways from the minglers and near the large display of food was you. You were leaning against one of the white pillars around the hall, finishing the hors d'oeuvres you held in your hands. You quickly disposed of the toothpick that held the hors d'oeuvres and returned to your spot. Your eyes returned to Akashi who seems to be chatting with a female. What the hell. She was certainly beautiful. Her hair a chestnut brown and was cut very shortly to heighten the bone structures of her face. She wore a beautiful black long gown that sparkled underneath the fluorescent lights. Her bare back almost exposed as two strings crisscross and reconnect at her lower back where her dress had started again. Beautiful. She certainly made everyone stop and stare. Including Akashi...

You fan away the tiny voice that suddenly appeared in your thoughts. Besides, you were dressed for the occasion. You glanced down at your dress and you couldn't help but wonder why you were here again.

You remember Akashi suddenly appearing at your doorstep, telling you to pack up enough for two nights and that you only had two hours to do so. You were honestly as confused as you packed up some clothes and necessities. Suddenly, you found yourself on a plane heading to Europe. Akashi explained he had to attend a business party overseas and when you asked why he's bringing you along, well, he never gave an answer. You sighed softly.

You stuck out like a sore thumb. They can tell with one look that you don't have any class that you weren't one of them even if you were dressed like one. You had on a long dark gray sleeveless gown that bore a turtleneck. The silk fabric drape from its collar all the way to your waist where it was fitted with a band of the same fabric to shape out your curves. The dress then continued to drape out, flowing with every movement you made. Your wrist was decorated with gorgeous bangles. A gray material matching the dress and gold, you weren't sure was real, in an alternating fashion. They had to be at least six of them on you. You had your hair done by professionals as well as your makeup. And your fingernails were colored in a dark gray. Yes. You felt extremely beautiful than normal.

And yet, you still felt as if you didn't belong here. You quickly shook your head to the waiter who offered you a drink. He gave you a pleasant smile and suggested a dish on the table before politely dismissing himself. You guessed it was because you were the only one by yourself. Maybe you seemed lonely? Well, it was quite lonely with Akashi being away from your side. You still didn't understand why you were here. Why you were needed.

"Lonely?" As if someone read your mind, you looked besides you only to find a well-dressed blond man standing near you. He had a drink in his hand, a soft smile on his lips as well as an English accent coating his speech. You couldn't help but feel a blush coming on as you stared at him. He was gorgeous! Especially with those hazel eyes of his piercing through your (e/c) ones. You averted your gaze away from his dazzling face. "Is something the matter?"

Your eyes returned to him and met with his kind face again. You shook your head at him, your lips twitching into a smile. "No. I'm fine."

"Hmm..." He hummed as he peered into your face. You couldn't help but step away a bit from him. He was too close to your face! "What is a lovely young lady like yourself doing here at this party?" He ignored your action, covering the step you took away from him.

"Well, I'm not by myself."

"Oh I know. You came with Mr. Akashi." You blinked at him. He knew? And as if he read your mind, he continued. "Mr. Akashi is the most famous out of all of us so of course we would notice him walk in. Especially if he has a woman with him. A beautiful one at that." He added. You were about to question his motives until he spoke once more. "But I'm sure you are not together with him? Just a date for tonight?"

You shook your head and waved your hands. "Oh no, I'm actually his-"

"Excuse me, can I get another glass?" He called out to a waiter passing by and he approached the both of you with a tray resting on his fingertips and a bottle of fancy wine on top of it. He politely took the wineglass from his hands and placed it on the tray. He then pour some wine in the glass before handing it back to the English man.

"You don't want any wine?" He asked you and you shook your head.

"No. I'm sorry. I don't drink." He quickly dismissed the waiter and clicked his tongue.

"Hm. What a shame. Anyway, since you are just acquainted with Mr. Akashi and nothing more than that..." Your eyes widen when you felt his knuckles gently brushing your cheek. "I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to another party happening later tonight."

Did he just ask you out? You winced as he gently rubbed your cheek, feeling your skin crawl at his touch. He looked down at you with a kind smile but you know he had lustful intentions behind those hazel eyes of his.

"I'm sorry..." You swatted his hand away from your face. "I don't-"

"(f/n)." You turned your head to the familiar voice that appeared behind you.

Akashi.

The red headed man's heterochromatic eyes weren't even upon yours as he stared fiercely at the man besides you. The man smiles nervously at Akashi despite the intense glare he was receiving from him.

"Mr. Akashi! How good to see you again!" Akashi moved in front of you when the man was addressing him. He held out his hand for Akashi to shake but his eyes didn't leave the poor man nor did he reply. The English man struggled to control his composure underneath his stare so he chuckled nervously and continued to speak, returning his hand to his side.

"So I heard about you working together with Pear now? Such a strong successful company. I see great things in your future." You knew Akashi wasn't having it. Especially since he wasn't even replying to his useless chatter. You looked over Akashi's shoulder and found the poor guy to be sweating now, his smile now twitching. You think he would get the hint to just walk away but he foolishly stood his ground, ignoring the chills that went down his spine.

"Can you leave us?" After a moment of silence, finally, Akashi spoke to him, clearly annoyed of his presence. You can already sense the danger level rising within him. You moved to his side but it's like he didn't notice you. His eyes didn't even waver as if he was a lion watching his prey.

"Um, I'm sorry, sir." You decided to speak up, which made the man tore his eyes away from Akashi to look at you. "I have to decline your offer and I think you really should go. But thank you for keeping me company." You muster up a smile for him, earning a weak one in return.

"Sure." It was all he said before turning away from you and Akashi and returning to a group with other business men. Akashi didn't look away until he was sure he was gone from his sight. His eyes flickered down and he noticed you were standing right in front of him.

"Seiju-"

"Come here." He quickly grabbed your wrist and began to pull you along. You almost tripped but regained your balance when you caught up with his pace. He walked through the crowds of people, some of them calling out to him to join them for a drink but Akashi never gave a glance or a reply and continued to walk out of the grand hall with you following closely behind.

You found yourself pushed against the wall in the middle of the lone hallway of the mansion. Akashi's hand met with the wall besides your head as he swiftly closed the gap between you two.

A small gasp escapes you as you felt his tongue impatiently slip in your mouth. Your eyes grew heavy until they were half lidded. Your hand reaching for his chest and curling its fingers against his suit. You tilted your head to the side allowing him to dominate you with his tongue.

Is he jealous?

"Ah..." He slipped his hand between your back and the wall, tracing down your back with his fingertips where your spinal cord would be. You shivered at his gentle touch, knowing that he's headed for a sensitive area.

It's confirmed, he is jealous. Dangerously jealous.

"I hate that he was touching you..." He pulled away, a string of saliva that connected your tongues stretch apart and fell upon your chin. He spoke so calmly but you can still hear the hint of anger in his voice as he gazes into your eyes. The hand on your back pushed you closer to his body until your bellies were barely touching. He held your chin with his hands and tilted your head slightly up, his thumb softly pressing and caressing your bottom lip. "The way how he was looking at you. It was disgusting."

"But..." You paused, getting lost in his eyes for the moment. They were beautiful. You couldn't help but want to gaze at them forever. "If you didn't want men to look at me, why did you bring me here?"

With this, Akashi's eyes slightly widen as if he just remembered something. In fact, he almost forgotten the true objective of this day. Was his mind really that engulfed in jealousy that he forgotten the very reason why he was looking forward to this?

Akashi quickly let go of you and dives in his pockets. He took out his cellphone and took a quick look at it before returning it in his pockets. "Follow me." He simply said when he held your hand in his and began to walk quite quickly down the large hallway. The jealousy he once had was flatten in an instance, shoved away as he came to realized what was really important.

"What...? Where are you taking me?" Confused was just your number one word of the day. It was a little frustrating when Akashi would never tell you what was going on. He was a man who liked surprises (not on himself) and was always full of them.

"I want to show you something but we have to hurry, it's almost time."

Almost time? You didn't voice out your thoughts as you continued to allow Akashi to walk you out of the mansion. As you reach the large double doors, you met with the familiar face of Akashi's driver standing near a black limousine in front of the mansion. He already held the door open for you two and slightly bowed as you walked down the stairs towards him.

Akashi allowed you to climb in before him and with a quick glance at the twilight sky, he turned towards his driver and told him to hurry to the destination.

"Yes sir." The driver nodded at Akashi before watching him climb in the limo and closing the door for him. He waste no time walking around the limo to the driver's side and climbing in himself.

In the limo, you surely had no clue what was going on. You glanced at Akashi to find some sort of answer but he avoided your gaze. He looked out the window, his head resting on his knuckles as he stared at the city lights passing with speed, almost looking like colorful little lasers running across the scenery. His hand was still very well in yours, actually his grip was growing tighter the longer he held it.

You could only guess he knew you were staring at him and squeezed your hand in reply. It looks like he wasn't going to say a word about the destination so you turn your head to look out the window and decided to trust him.

The drive continued on in silence.

~X~

"Come on." Your bare feet met with the squishy warm sand underneath you. You paused in your steps as you tried to allow the view in front of you to sink in. You were still holding hands with Akashi but honestly, Akashi seems to be the one holding your hand while yours fell limp in his.

A soft smile crept up on Akashi's lips as he watched your reaction. You pulled your hand away from his to clasp them over your grinning mouth.

"Are those...?" You pointed to the large animals in the distance. Two black horses stood side by side eating a pile of hay in front of them.

"Horses." He answered your question as he began to walk towards them. The two horses eagerly greeted Akashi, neighing happily as they abandon their pile of hay to nuzzle their heads against his body. You watched in awe as Akashi's smile grew wider as he struggled to pet the two horses due to their excitement and constant moving.

He looked so dazzling. With the sun almost touching the horizon, it made his clear skin sparkle underneath its reddish-orange rays. He stood there without his suit jacket on, his collar loose and free from the tie that was around his neck. His sleeves were rolled up and showing off his forearms as he caresses the horse's necks.

"Remember, you said before that you wanted to ride on the beach near sunset one day. I heard this beach was famous for their sunsets." With his explanation, you gaze at the dim fiery ball slowly sinking into the horizon. The west sky was a sweet pinkish color with a dash of searing red. The purple cumulus clouds with pink linings slowly drifted above the two of you. The soaked shore mirrored the colors of the sky as the violet colored ocean waves brushed against it. Behind you, in the east, the sky was a calm indigo. The stars faintly twinkling but burning brighter as darkness slowly grows and spreads.

Words could not describe how breathtaking this scene was.

"Seijuro... This is beautiful. Thank you." Your eyes didn't leave the sunset as you approached Akashi. Until you were face to face with him, your lips broke into a large smile and your eyes met with his. "Really, thank you!"

His usual guarded eyes softened at your gratitude and he grabbed your hand and held it for a while before placing it on one of the horses.

"This one's yours. Her name is Snow."

"Snow." You repeated her name, smiling softly at her as she nuzzles her head into your hand. "Heheh, she likes me!"

"Of course." With one swift movement, Akashi already mounted himself on his horse. He held the horse's reins in his hands and looked down at you. "Let's ride."

You chuckled, "yeah, lets!" You held on to Snow's reins and her saddle's pommel as you placed your foot in the stirrup. You quickly climbed on to Snow, lifting your leg over to one side and straddling her. She neighed happily and moved her head side to side, her long black hair swaying to her movement. "Good girl!" You praised her and leaned forward, petting her on her head.

"I'm surprised you can still ride with that dress on." You heard Akashi say, an amusing smile on his lips.

"I'm kind of surprised too but the dress is really spacey at the bottom!" You lightly shook the reins signaling for Snow to move. She began to walk towards the shore and started to walk along it without getting too close. Akashi's horse followed the same movement and walked besides yours. You gaze at the brilliant sunset. It was now halfway down as if it was sinking into the ocean. This was wonderful. You were so glad Akashi brought you along for this.

You turned to Akashi once more to thank him for the third time but your words got caught in your throat as you met with his stare. Has he been staring at you for this whole time? He stopped his horse and in no time you did the same. You began to feel nervous with such serious eyes on you. It felt like he wanted to say something.

But with a light whip of the reins, his horse began to walk and what he wanted to say was now lost. You didn't command your horse to walk yet. You watched him move ahead for a bit, thoughts scrambling as you tried to figure out his feelings behind those serious eyes. What was with that look?

Knowing you couldn't figure out the answer by just standing there, you commanded your horse to trot and quickly joined Akashi's side.

"Thank you, Seijuro! I'm really enjoying this. It's been a while since we went riding together... You've been so busy lately." You haven't meant your last words to sound so... sad but it was how you truly felt. Lately, Akashi has been showing up at random times. He's been too busy to reply to your messages and when he actually does and you reply back, he doesn't reply until days later-sometimes weeks. You knew not to complain. You never did.

But you still couldn't help but feel lonely for the past few months.

"I know." His horse stopped once more and yours as well. He quickly dismounted from his horse and patted it on its neck before walking around it. He stopped besides your horse and looked up at you. He held out his hand towards you and you began to feel confused. "I need to tell you something." He simply said and it was all it took for you to place your hand in his. You removed your leg from the other side of Snow to fully face Akashi. He pulled you towards him until you were leaning slightly off your horse, his hands then move to grab your waist and he effortlessly lift you off your horse. You kept your hands on his shoulders as he lowers you down on the sand, your heart skipping a beat when you looked into his eyes. How gentle they were as they gaze into yours.

"What did you want to tell me?" The hushed tone of your voice was barely audible with the sounds of the waves brushing against the shore. The scent of the salty ocean passed by your nose with every breeze of the wind that blew between the two of you. Akashi remained silent to your question. You felt his hand hold yours, his fingers perfectly fitting between the gaps of your fingers. He began to walk, guiding you along the shore with him, side by side.

"There's another reason why I brought you here." Akashi kept his face forward when you turned to look at him, his eyes remaining straight ahead. You thought nothing of it. Maybe he was going on another business trip and will be gone for a couple of weeks. It would make sense since he was busy for the last few weeks. "I was going to wait until we rode a little but I grew impatient." Impatient? With that, Akashi suddenly moved in front of you. You felt a tight squeeze on your hand that held his.

"You love me, right?" He asked when he reached into his dress pants pocket with his other hand. He took out a small black box and held it with his fingers. Your eyes flickered to the small black box and then back to his face. Akashi can sense the confusion already rising in your heart which was understandable he wasn't quite finished yet. "We've been together for a while now. Ten years to be exact. I remember when I first met you, I thought you were a rude, impudent little girl."

You laughed at this, "well I thought you were an arrogant prince."

He smiled softly at your comment. "And then without me even knowing, I fell in love with you. Deeply. So I thought that it was time to give you this." You felt Akashi's hand slip from yours and he opened the tiny black box. Your hands instantly covered the gasp that left your mouth once you saw the contents of the box. You felt your eyes growing wider the longer you stared at it, your cheeks growing rosy red and hot.

What laid in a small comfy cushion in the tiny box was a ring—an engagement ring to be exact. The center stone was a round red garnet gem and around the gem was tiny white diamonds in the shape of lotus petals. The white diamonds continued downward and pave halfway around the white golden band. It was gorgeous—dazzling. You felt tears well up in your eyes at the sight of it.

"I want you to marry me." You tore your eyes away from the ring and looked up at Akashi, his eyes soft and lips in a faint smile. He removed the ring from its box and grabbed your left hand. He carefully slipped the ring on your finger, his glorious eyes locked on yours and unwavering. You looked down on the ring that perfectly fitted your finger. The ring was like a newly bloom lotus flower on your hand. As you gaze at it, you hadn't notice the tear that rolled down your cheek until you felt a thumb brushing it away. Your eyes met with Akashi's once again as his hand caressed your cheek.

And sooner or later, you found his lips upon yours, pressing and moving softly against them. More tears silently fell from your eyes and glided down your cheeks. The warm feeling in your chest spread to every corner of your body as you kissed him back and tightly gripped his white collar shirt. You felt his hands upon your hips, his fingers pressing into them when his kisses grew more passionate and hungrier. You struggled to keep up with him, gasping as you tried to fill your lungs with needed air. Akashi pulled your body closer to his, his arms around your hips keeping you locked and trapped against his body. You melted in his kiss. Your knees shaking and growing weak, striving to keep you standing.

He soon departed his lips only for it to touch the corners of yours in a moment. He showered soft kisses on your cheeks and soon traveled until his lips laid upon the bottom lid of your eye, kissing the tears that rolled down. You couldn't explain the amount of happiest in your heart at this moment. The fact that Akashi just proposed to you left you speechless, your mind blank with only him on your mind.

His very words, "I want you to marry me," echoed repeatedly in your head. Your heart fluttering to every kiss he laid upon your face, cheeks flushed when you heard him declared his love for you in a hushed tone, his hot breath grazing your cheek when he spoke. Akashi pushed his forehead onto yours, his large eyes staring steadily into your eyes. He loved the large smile that appeared on your face, oozing with bliss and beaming brightly. He loved how close you were to his body, how you perfectly fit in his arms every time he pulled you close. He honestly never foresaw this moment. To be holding the woman he loves in his arms and asking for her hand in marriage. He didn't mind that you still haven't given your answer.

Akashi realized... he didn't need one.

Because your brilliant smile told it all.

The two of you shared another kiss as the sun fully sinks into the horizon, ending the day to look forward to a glamorous future wedding.

Extra:

"Just line them up here..."

"Yes sir."

You hummed softly, pulling back your dry lips and brushing your tongue against them. With a soft groan, you slowly turned to your side, reaching an arm out to pat the empty area of the bed besides you.

"Sei-Seiju...ro...?" You mumbled his name, your eyes still closed as you continued to pat his side of the bed. A disappointed sigh left you when you couldn't find him by your side. Of course. As usual.

"What about the rest, sir?"

"Just leave them in the lobby until I tell you to bring it up."

"Seijuro?" You opened your eyes once you heard Akashi's voice. He was still here? You lifted your hand to rub your eyes as you propped yourself up with your elbow.

"Oh, you're awake."

"Yeah..." You covered a hand over your mouth and yawned. Looking over to find your fiancé standing in between something. "Good morn—Wha-wha-what is this?!"

"How'd you sleep? I was about to wake you up so that you could pick which one you like." Standing around Akashi was long racks of dresses, wedding dresses. Each of them designed to fit your personality and style.

You scratched your messy hair as you gaze at the dresses. "Pick...? Seijuro, isn't it too early to pick a dress? I-I mean you just proposed to me yesterday."

"We actually have a week."

"A week?"

"Yes."

"Till the wedding...?"

"Yes."

"What?!"

"Ma'am, do you like this one?" One of the maids pulled out a dress and showed it to you.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but you must undress to try them on." Another one began to unbutton your pajama shirt.

"Those maids will help you pick out a really nice one. If you don't like any of them, just ask them to bring in the rest."

"The rest?!" There's already like two hundred dresses in here!

"I'm going to work. I'll be back in a couple of hours." He glanced at his watch before pointing to one of the dresses. "I, personally, like the one with the red. You should try it on." As soon as he said this, one of the maids picked it out from the rack and held it in her arms. The rest began to usher you out of your pajamas.

"Sei-Seijuro!"

"Have fun, okay?" You caught a glimpse of his smile as he walked out of the hotel room. The maids continued to shoot out orders to you, surrounding you with different dresses. You heavily sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose as you fell back on the bed. It's decided. When Akashi comes back, you're definitely going to kill him.

Next: Akashi or Kagami

*dances* We’re finally out of the GOMs! We’re finally out of the GOMs! The reason why Akashi might be next is because of a special chapter someone requested for him. Yes. You can request special chapters. But Kagami could be next only because I’m like 50% done with him. Let’s see whose gets finished first since I’ll be working on both of them at the same time. Until next time!
