The Marriage Life: Midorima x Reader – ( Honeymoon - Part 1 )

"Whoa!" You dropped the suitcase on the floor and ran inside the freshly clean hotel room. Your eyes widen in awe as you glanced around the room. Your eyes landed upon the king size bed that was neatly made. It was so big and fluffy that you just wanted to jump upon it and roll around it until you were off to dream land but your curious eyes wander around and the room's style was absolutely pleasing to your sight, a little bit on the large side but still perfect. Before you knew it, you dashed to the nearest door which you figured was the bathroom. You opened the door and let out a gasp.

"Shin-Shin-Shintarou! The bathroom has a Jacuzzi! It has a Jacuzzi!" You excitedly yelled, lightly bouncing on the balls of your feet. The bathroom was a cream color with matching tiles on the floor and walls. It was quite large with a stand-in shower in the corner large enough to fit four people and the toilet a little ways from there besides the sink. But the Jacuzzi had its own little room and was cut off by a thin wall that you can slide open and close. You were guessing it was for privacy and you couldn't help but blush at the sudden intimate thoughts that filled your mind. You definitely wanted to use this before going back home.

You finally left the bathroom in a response to Midorima not responding to you. You ended up finding him sitting upon the bed, hunched over and massaging the bridge of his nose while holding a bottle of disinfectant in his other hand. You noticed that the bed sheets were changed and the hotel ones were on the floor. You quickly rushed to Midorima's side and kneeled in front of him.

"Shintarou...? Are you okay?" You placed your hand on his knee, your eyes filled with worry.

He opened his eyes and removed his hand from his face. He sighed heavily and that made you even more worried.

"I'm just tired." He simply said and you noticed how red and irritated his eyes were. You remembered that he didn't sleep on the plane and he's been awake this whole time. It was an 8 hour flight, probably more cause of a few delays they encountered. And also the jet lag. He must be exhausted.

"Shintarou, go to sleep. I'll be okay." You reassured him, a smile growing on your lips. He shook his head and glanced at the disinfectant in his hands.

"I have to clean this room. I'll sleep later." He was about to get up but you pushed him back on the bed, an annoyed look grew on his face. You took the bottle of disinfectant from his hands and placed it on the end table besides the bed.

"Shintarou. Go to bed." You said more sternly as you folded your arms across your chest. "Besides the hotel room is already clean."

"There are hidden germs that they never get." He informed you and you couldn't help but sigh.

"Fine. I'll clean. Just please sleep." You pleaded and Midorima sat with his arms folded until he finally gave in. You watched him take off his shoes and placed them neatly besides the bed and soon he was in bed with the covers over him. You laughed when you noticed that his glasses were still on and you went ahead and told him about it but in a blink of an eye, he was already fast asleep.

You chuckled, reaching in and gently pulling his glasses off his face. You didn't want him to ruin his glasses while sleeping but you knew it would be funny for him to wake up with glasses marks indented in his skin.

You placed the glasses on the table and grabbed the bottle of disinfectant off it. You sighed softly and grumbled, "Hidden germs..." Before walking towards the bathroom.

Midorima slept till the next day. He woke up feeling energized and more alive, his eyes were no longer heavy and he didn't have that annoying pulsing headache he had ever since he got on the plane. He sat up on the bed and reached for his glasses on the side table. He neatly placed them on his face and looked to his left. He realized that you weren't in bed and was about to go on a search for you until the bathroom door opened. Steam was released into the room and he heard you sighing delightfully as you stepped out with a towel around your body.

"Oh! Shintarou, you're awake! Good morning!" You smiled brightly at him as you walked towards the bed. You were waiting for Midorima to reply but it seem like he was stunned. A pink blush quickly dusted his cheeks and he averted his gaze but his eyes came back in a second. He was taking in the view. The towel wrapped around your body, showing off your shape. The water droplets were falling from your moist hair and landing on your shoulders. Your heated skin was a faint pink due to it clashing with the cold air of the room. And your chest. Such a tease. The towel was barely covering them as he could see them slightly popping out. His face was growing hotter with every second, vision becoming dizzier with each step you took towards him. He really just wanted to throw you down, and make it the seventh time he made love to you but he held back. Like usual.

You were soon besides a blushing Midorima and you leaned forward and kissed him on the forehead.

Now he had a clearer view of them.

But, oh, he suppressed it. The agony!

You pulled away and innocently smiled. You had no idea what was going on in his mind. "I'm glad you're better, Shin."

"Ye-Yeah." He managed to get out, his voice sounding a little higher than normal as he fixed his glasses.

You retreated to the other side of the bed where your suitcase full of clothes were. You opened it and picked out a nice summer dress to wear, underwear, and a bra. You caught sight of the lingerie you brought tucked in the corner of the suitcase. You blushed as this would be the first time wearing such sexy underwear. You were hoping to surprise Midorima tonight or tomorrow. You were also hoping he wasn't those guys who weren't interested in lingerie. More like, he better be interested because it was highly embarrassing going inside a lingerie store and asking for advice in what to buy. You could remember that you were a stuttering mess and you even caught some of the customers chuckling at you. At least, the employee who helped you was kind to you and told you there was nothing to be embarrassed about and even gave you some tips. She even told you to bring Midorima one day to see what he's interested in.

But you knew for sure, Midorima wasn't going to step a foot in that store.

"(f/n). (f/n)." You jumped ever so suddenly at Midorima's voice. And you turned around to find Midorima standing with a towel in his arms.

"Ye-Yes?" You replied with a nervous smile.

"I'm going to take a shower. When I'm done, we should figure out what to do." He tugged on the towel in his arms.

"Yeah!" You sat on the bed, already slipping the towel off your body. Midorima instantly snapped his head away, the blush spreading to his ears. "There's tons of things to do on the islands! Maybe we should go on a tour or-or maybe we should get a massage, or we can go to the beach! There's also dinner! I heard there's a play happening today and a festival in the coming days. I want to do everything with you, Shintarou." You said excitedly, showing Midorima a big smile on your face. You heard a chuckle leaving Midorima and you saw a faint smirk forming on his lips as he fixed his glasses.

"Sure. We'll pick one of them when I'm done."

"Okay!" You continued to smile to yourself even though Midorima left for the bathroom. You were excited about the day ahead of you, basically humming any random song that came to your head. You were hoping that Midorima would hurry and finish up his shower even though he just left a minute ago but you couldn't help but look forward to this honeymoon.

After Midorima came from his shower, you guys decided to head downstairs for breakfast. The resort had its own restaurant that you were very eager to eat at. Taking Midorima by the hand, you guided him towards the restaurant as you walked along the boardwalk together. Midorima couldn't help but glance at your face in curiosity and all he saw was pure happiness. You looked around the area with your wide (e/c) eyes and a huge smile on your lips.

The wind was breezy and cool and softly brushing against everyone's skin. There was not a cloud in the sky and the sun shined brilliantly down on the island, glistening the waves as if they were diamonds when they wash up against the shores. You look to your left and found different souvenir shops and food carts of different types. The natives of the island were selling their native fruits and advertising their merchandise.

Suddenly, you felt Midorima's hand slipping from your own and you stopped to find him standing in front of one of them. The stand seems to be selling jewelry--pearls to be exact.

"I'd like that bracelet." Midorima pointed to one of the pearl bracelets on a broken mannequin's hand. The elderly woman behind the stand looked surprised at Midorima's sudden appearance but more wrinkles formed on the corner of her eyes and mouth as she gave him a weak smile. She reached with her trembling hands for the pearl bracelet. Midorima took out his wallet from his back pocket and pulled out a couple of bills. The elderly woman placed the bracelet in a small bag but was stopped by Midorima.

"It's alright."

"Oh..." She apologized and took out the bracelet and place it in his hand instead. Midorima put the money in her hands and was about to return to you until the elderly woman called to him. "Sir, you gave me too much. It's fake pearls, you know."

"I know." He pushes up his glasses with his fingers. "You can keep it."

The elderly woman stared at Midorima as if he just saved her life. Her face then relaxed into a sweet smile as she said:

"You remind me of my grandson. Thank you very much, sir." With that comment, it was Midorima's turn to faintly smile at the woman. He dismissed himself and began to walk where he left you. Only to find...

You weren't there.

He didn't panic. Well, he tried not to. If you went missing in a foreign land...

Midorima gulped and clutched the pearls tightly in his hand. He remained where he left you, frozen like a statue. Unwanted thoughts began consuming his mind. He had to find you.

"Shintarou!" His eyes searched the crowd when he heard you call to him, glancing at every face that went by but none familiar to him. He then spotted a waving hand in the air that belong to you and he found you leaning on the boardwalk's wooden railings. When you were sure he spotted you, you turned back around. Your eyes taking in the clear Hawaiian blue waves that rocked with the wind. You heavenly sighed, resting your head on your knuckles. Before you knew it, Midorima was by your side. You felt his large hand upon your head as you turned to look up at him.

"Shintarou, you're back." You sent him a dazzling smile.

"Don't wander away from me." By the look on his face, you can tell he was a little upset. His brows were more furrowed, frown a bit deeper. But of course, you saw a glimmer of relief in his emerald irises.

"But you let go of my hand first." You pouted a bit before breaking into a soft smile. "I'm sorry. I couldn't resist the view. It's a beautiful morning, you know?"

Midorima couldn't stay angry at you for long. He was more relieved than angry especially since you were so happy and safe. A soft sigh left his lips and at first you thought he was still mad until he took your hand in his.

"Here." He quickly slipped the pearl bracelet on your wrist. You parted your lips and let out a small gasp as you gaze at the beautiful white pearls.

"This is..." You trailed off. A bubbly warm feeling arose in your chest and your cheeks burned red. You turned your head to look at Midorima and he as well had cheeks the color of scarlet. The corner of your lips soon moved upwards and you showed Midorima another one of your brilliant smiles.

It almost made his heart stop.

"I love this, Shintarou. I really do... I'm so happy..." You mumbled the last part to yourself but Midorima surely heard it and was happy to know that you loved a gift from him even if it was cheap. And he was rather taken off guard when he felt you gripping his shirt and standing on the balls of your feet to kiss him on the cheek. With enough struggle and a little hop, you were able to successfully plant your lips on his cheeks. It made you admire Midorima's height. It was no wonder he was good at playing basketball.

"We shouldn't kiss in public." He was rather flustered but you knew he liked it and probably even wanted more. You allowed a chuckle to leave you.

"It's okay!" You filled the gaps of his hand with your fingers and you held his hand tightly. "We're on our honeymoon, remember?"

To be continued.
